Introduction:

The new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on the 25th of May 2018, the new law replaced the Data Protection Act and aims to standardise data protection laws across the EU. Personal Data is information about yourself, this can include your name, email address, and contact details. My Offshores have a consistent level of data protection and security measures across our organisation, all of which help us comply with this legislation and keep your data as secure as we can:

What data My Offshores may collect about you:

  • Personal Identification Information [name, email address, phone number, date of birth, home address]

  • Documented Identification [passport, bank statements, utility bills, any further due diligence documents]

  • We may also receive your information from indirect sources if you are setup with our registered office, this can be from HMRC, Company House, ICO, NCO, and any other sources you have our registered office address listed at.

  • We collect this information to provide a service to our clients, collect marketing information, and assist in their company orders. Please note that My Offshores do not collect any bank details for any individual, all card payments are processed through a secure card processing company, and My Offshores do not have access to these details, nor do we store or transfer any bank details we may temporarily be holding regarding any individual

How My Offshores are committed to protecting your data:

Data Protection: Our main policy is data protection, and has been revised to meet the standards and requirements for GDPR. Measures are in place to ensure our team understand the importance of privacy and rights of our clients.

Data Retention: We also have measures in place to ensure we meet the Storage Minimisation and Storage Limitation principles, and that your personal information is stored, archived and destroyed in accordance to the new regulations.

Data Breaches: At My Offshores, we have safeguards in place to ensure the possibility of data breaches are as minimal as possible. Breaching procedures have been explained to all employees and there are steps in place to assess, investigate and report any data breaches as early as possible.

International Data Transfers & Third-Party Disclosure: If My Offshores are storing or transferring data outside of the EU, there are procedures in place to secure the integrity of the data and is continuously been reviewed with the countries with sufficient adequacy decisions.

Privacy Policy: Our privacy policy complies with the current GDPR regulations – ensuring we inform all personnel of their rights, and how we use or need their data. Individuals using our service will also be aware of what they’re providing, why and how we use it and give clear ways of consent of processing their information.

Data Storage: My Offshores hold your information on a secure server that is audited for security on a daily basis. We take security on our server very seriously to ensure the possibility of a data breach is minimal. We also take backups of our server, so we have copies of information if it is ever lost.

Data Subject Rights:

My Offshores Provide easy-to-access information of an individual’s right to access any personal information that My Offshores process about them and to request information regarding:

  • What personal data we hold about them

  • The purposes of the processing

  • The categories of personal data concerned

  • The recipients to whom the personal data has or will be disclosed to

  • How long we intend to store the personal data for

  • If we did not collect data directly from the individual, we will provide information relating to the source.

  • The right to request destruction of personal data (where possible) or to restrict any form of processing in accordance with data protection laws.

  • The right to complain and who to contact if these instances do happen.

We take the privacy and security of our clients and their personal information very seriously and we take every reasonable measure we can to protect and secure personal data that we may process. We have robust information security policies and procedures in place to protect personal information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. My Offshores understands the importance of training regarding GDPR regulations, and our team have been fully trained on the importance of GDPR, and we continue to spread awareness through current and any new employees, ensuring they take the necessary steps to processing your data in a secure, legal manner.

To comply with the new GDPR regulation, we would like to highlight that My Offshores may need to send your personal details previously entered on our system to relevant authorities or organisations to help us assist complete your order(s), no details will be provided to unauthorised persons, parties, or in any other way. All information is stored on robust servers and our website is HTTPS secure.
